This very reasonably priced little book can fairly be described as a do-it- yourself walking tour. It covers the route of the Society’s own conducted walking tour and tells something of the many historic buildings and sites along the way. It also gives a brief resume of the city’s long and illustrious history. For those who do not have the time to take a tour with a Society guide, this is the ideal substitute.
